AI Has Your Business Data

#artificialintelligence

Ever since ChatGPT captured our imaginations, people have been contemplating its pending impact on the business world. This week these thoughts became a reality, with Google and Microsoft embedding artificial reality (AI) features into their business productivity suites. Microsoft took another major step by releasing AI Copilot for Power Apps, Microsoft's low-code platform. Power Apps can connect far and beyond the Microsoft ecosystem, with almost 1,000 built-in connectors to everything from Salesforce to on-prem and Amazon Web Services. With one swift move, AI has been integrated into the day-to-day workflows of the world's largest organizations. This is an amazing achievement, and other low-code/no-code platforms will surely try to catch up quickly.

Microsoft announces revamping of Office apps with artificial intelligence tools - Hindustan Times

#artificialintelligence

Microsoft is reinventing its Power Platform's software development, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word, with AI-powered no-code development and adding new features like Copilot. In an event on Thursday (Local Time), the company announced that Microsoft 365 users will soon be able to use what the company is calling an AI "Co-pilot," Microsoft said in a statement. "Makers now have a live in-studio copilot that helps them build solutions and provides suggestions for improvement. To build an app, flow, or bot, you can describe it using natural language and the copilot can build it in seconds. It is that easy," the statement read. "Copilot in Power Apps makes it easy to keep data at the centre of every application.

Microsoft's new Power Platform AI copilot will build your apps for you

#artificialintelligence

At its virtual "Future of Work" event, Microsoft today announced the launch of an AI copilot -- and make no mistake, Microsoft is all-in on using this'copilot' metaphor across all of its products -- to Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents and Power Automate. The idea here is to use AI to make using these tools for building line-of-business apps, flows and bots even easier by letting users use natural language to describe what they want to build. "With Copilot, Microsoft Power Platform is bringing AI-powered assistance into Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents, and Power Automate," Charles Lamanna, Microsoft's corporate VP for its low code application platform, writes in today's announcement. "Makers now have a live in-studio copilot that helps them build solutions and provides suggestions for improvement. To build an app, flow, or bot, you can describe it using natural language and copilot can build it in seconds.

Microsoft integrates GPT into Power Apps and AI Builder

#artificialintelligence

Microsoft, pursuing its strategy of integrating OpenAI's generative AI technology within enterprise application platforms, on Monday introduced Power Virtual Agents conversation booster and AI Builder model with content generation. Power Virtual Agents enables developers to create AI-powered chatbots for different scenarios, such as a bot for answering complex questions or one to engage with customers in multiple languages. AI Builder is a Microsoft Power Platform feature that provides AI models that help automate business processes. Power Virtual Agents conversation booster equips enterprises' chatbots with capabilities from GPT -- the large language model from the tech giant's partner, OpenAI -- to answer questions when connected to company-specific resources such as a public website and internal knowledge base. In addition, AI Builder now includes Azure OpenAI services in its interface, giving users access to new low-code generative AI models and templates in Power Automate and Power Apps.

New AI Builder capabilities are now generally available

#artificialintelligence

Today we are excited to announce that two AI builder preview capabilities are now generally available. Features that are generally available are considered production ready. Both new capabilities can be found under the Prediction model card in AI Builder. One of them is prediction of multiple outcomes, and the other is prediction of a numerical field. These new features make the prediction model richer, and be able to solve more business problems for you.

How Microsoft plans to improve the low-code landscape

#artificialintelligence

Taking on the challenges head-on that stand in the way of their low-code platforms growing, Microsoft's series of new product announcements this week at Build 2022 gives organizations new options for achieving low-code development goals. Microsoft's series of low-code announcements made this week include Power Pages, the latest Microsoft Power Platform addition for creating integrated, scalable and secure websites. Lured by the promises of democratizing app development with visual, declarative, drag and drop interfaces often bundled with enterprise-wide platforms like Microsoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow and others, enterprises have been quick to jump in and experiment. They're learning that support for a low-code platform can get expensive fast once app development moves from small department coding projects to larger-scale, enterprise-wide apps. Low-code platforms' hidden costs include limited process workflow support that further adds to the challenge of scaling them enterprise-wide.
